​Our programs consists of functionally sound movement training, strength training and conditioning with a strong focus on basic and proper technique. The workout becomes progressively more challenging once basic techniques have been mastered. 

Sarge Athletics incorporates the programming of the pioneers of Sports Performance Training from Mike Boyle to Joe DeFranco. We offer a unique and innovative approach to athletic training covering every building block of athletic development. We build on a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athlete's individual goals.

ETHAN GOLDBERG (CLARKSBURG, MD) - A freshman at Clarksburg High School, he earned this recognition through focus, discipline, hard work, and consistency. He has been dedicating 3 days a week since January and has made tremendous gains. Coach Phil says 'consistency, highly improved intensity, teachability, and humility have been his most valuable assets.'

GEROME QUIGLEY JR (GAITHERSBURG, MD) - The 2X IBA (Intercontential Boxing Association) World Intercontential Champion & Virginia State Welterweight champion. Holding the same title as Oscar De La Hoya did, Gerome is the definition of "Better Every Day."

HANNAH BUSH (Beallsville, MD) – Poolesville High School 2018. Participated in 2016 Under Armour 150 where she finished #9 in the country in the combine (20 yard dash, 5/10/5 pro agility, 200 yard shuttle, vertical jump and kneeling med-ball throw).


OUR PROCESS

Just as a bitter old man named Ebenezer Scrooge reflected on his behavior patterns for positive change and growth, we use our process called the "Dickens' Map" to correct prospective clients functional movement faults and efficiently asses how to fix them and incorporate those findings into the athlete's training program. We also take a look at past goals, experiences, and characteristics of the athlete. Each new member is given a functional movement screening called the FMS, the industry standard for assessing quality movement and exercise with prescription to clean up poor functional movement patterns. We assess sport-specific needs such as jumping, power, landing mechanics, core strength, speed etc.  After the FMS, we huddle up with the athlete and parents to make a Game-Plan including goal setting, expectations, and program recommendation. 2. EVALUATION

Visit the training center for a tour and an evaluation, the Functional Movement Screening (FMS). This is the industry-standard for assessing quality movement and exercise.

3. HUDDLE UP

After the FMS, we huddle-up together to analyze our findings. Then we discuss your goals of past, present and future to help us map your direction with the Game Plan.
